Alive is Assembly's social networking site. Show that you're not sleeping. Show that you're Alive!
Alive mixes profiles, photos, videos, and blog entries from the visitors of Assembly. After everything is mixed up, Alive shows you what's hot!
How do I get my photos, videos and blog entries into Alive?
In an orderly fashion, it looks like this:
- Register with our brand-new Single Sign-On service.
- Log in to Alive.
- Edit your profile and fill in the names of your flickr and YouTube accounts. Also provide your blog's RSS or Atom feed.
- Take photos and videos and upload them to YouTube and flickr. Make sure you apply the tag asmsummer07. Write blog entries. Experience the unique atmosphere of the Assembly and share it with your friends.
- (This step is done by Alive. You can relax now.) Alive will start to import your photos, videos and blog entries and promote them to other visitors. As Alive also wants to enjoy the party this can take a couple of minutes.
- (optional, but very recommended) Proudly smile at
those nice girls over
there and be assured that you're at least double as
sexyAlive as before.
What's hot?
That's up to you!
Whenever you are logged in, you see the amount of heat points that you have available. You start with 200 points and you will get 1 point every 2 minutes.
If you like something in Alive a lot (another person, a photo, whatever) you can use your points to fire something up. By this you give 3 heat points to what you like. (Use the access key "F" in your browser if you don't want to click.)
All the content in Alive starts out with 210 heat points and constantly looses one point per minute. If enough people fire something up and it reaches more than 240 points, the item will be hot. This promotes it to the front page and some other places in Alive.
